How to Clean Fireclay Sinks

CLEANING AND CARE FOR FRANKE FIRECLAY SINKS

Fireclay has many advantageous properties: it is resistant to high and low temperatures, wear and scratches, light fading and are hygienic. It is made of natural materials, is safe to use and has a long life.

WHAT CLEANER?

Beware of the surface damage due to improper maintenance!

• Use only products and cleaners that are recommended.

• Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the use of detergent.

• Never mix detergents.

• Avoid highly concentrated waste cleaners and abrasive cleaners that leave a matte finish. You should also be very careful with fluoride-containing substances, such as rust removers and toothpaste, which can leave long-term stains.

Fine sanitary cleaners available in the regular commercial network are suitable for daily cleaning. We recommend removing limescale with vinegar or lemon juice-based cleaners (PH 1-4). The harder your water, the more effect and longer the action needs to be applied.

Traces of the use of metal objects and dishes (black dots/lines) cannot be removed by fine means. We recommend using a special liquid cleaner for stainless steel, a polish for car bodies or a cleaner for ceramic hobs

HOW OFTEN?

Clean the surface of the product regularly or immediately if it is dirty. If cleaning is not carried out often and regularly, contamination from eg limescale, dishwashing detergent, leftover food, rust or mold will become visible and much more difficult to remove.

HOW?

• Clean the surface with a soft micro cloth and warm water.

• To remove stubborn dirt, wait a few minutes for the cleaner to work. Follow the cleaner manufacturer's recommendations.

TIP! The advantage of using gel or foam agents is that they adhere very well to vertical surfaces. You can also soak the micro cloth in detergent and apply it to the soiled area.

• Rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove any remaining detergent.

• Wipe the sink dry.
