Sunniva is passionate about addressing sustainability both professionally and personally. She does not just want to watch, she wants to make a difference and is proud that Franke's sustainability initiatives have made significant progress.
My name is Sunniva and I work in the sustainability team at Franke. I started as an intern five years ago, and my journey has led me to my current position, managing Franke's Sustainability Report - a role I wanted from the start.
I am passionate about sustainability because I believe in addressing the impact on our planet and people - and I do not want to be a bystander. Instead, I want to address sustainability in every way possible, whether through my role at Franke or in my personal life, such as getting involved in local politics to balance environmental, economic and social concerns. The fact that Franke has been very supportive of me since I became a mother a few years ago - giving me flexibility in terms of working hours and working remotely - has helped me to maintain my commitment to sustainability.
In the years since I joined Franke, I can see that we have made significant progress. When I started in 2019, we were basically just three people working on the issue on a part-time basis. Today, we have a proper team and many other parts of the organization are also focused on sustainability initiatives.
Today, Franke's commitment is reflected in its corporate strategy and especially in its investments. I am proud that what started as a focus on reporting has evolved into the development of science-based targets and emission reduction initiatives within our functions and divisions.
