Melanie never planned to become a leader. Now, as a leader at Franke, it's just the right place for her to foster a collaborative environment and a culture of trust.
My name is Melanie and my journey with Franke began in 2023. A journey that has been a continuous learning experience. Having worked in the B2B environment for years, I was already familiar with Franke's professionalism and quality, so the decision to join was an easy one.
In my role managing Franke Coffee Systems Germany and Austria, I prioritise fostering a culture of trust and empowerment. I believe that authentic leadership, characterised by open communication and honesty, builds trust and loyalty. With me, you get what you see - when I say my door is open, it really is. I love being a servant leader and working with my team, not distinguishing myself through hierarchy, but focusing on collaboration.
A memorable example of this collaborative spirit was the organisation-wide kick-off meeting we held earlier this year. For the first time in the history of Franke Coffee Systems Germany and Austria, the entire organisation including our partners in Germany came together, providing an opportunity for interaction, alignment, celebration and a collective focus on what lies ahead.
I never planned to become a leader. It just happened along the way. Great mentors, role models and leaders - including inspiring women - have supported my growth. My goal is to provide similar encouragement and support to others. Ultimately, I want to create a positive work environment, in which all team members feel comfortable, valued and supported. And where they have the right environment to be successful and make a positive impact.
