Stainless steel was chosen for the washroom sanitaryware for busy bus service operator Metroline, based in north Londonas it’s extremely hardwearing and easy to clean. Lan Services were keen to use supplier and trusted brand Franke for their stainless steel toilet pans, urinal troughs and vanity tops with integral moulded basins.

A fleet change of 220 washroom basins for CrossCountry in the C1220 Super Voyager trains required a bespoke solution to fit in a confined space. Franke designed and manufactured a bespoke solution specifically for the project. The final design was the Rondo stainless steel bowl inset into a Miranit resin-bonded worktop in their choice of colour. MIRANIT combines sturdiness and resilience with outstanding molding capabilities and has been fire test specifically for use on trains and fully certified to Category 2.

The Portsmouth Ferry Terminal offers all the modern high standards and style of an airport. A full height concourse contains shops, check in desks and the arrival and departure areas, while a mezzanine area offers views from the bar and café area.
The Ferry terminal achieved a high BREEAM rating through a number of initiatives including the installation of Franke Sissons Stainless Steel Urinals and WC’s connected with the unique A3000 Open Water Management System. The use of dual flush touch free controls to flush the 4 litre WC and using sea water for flushing further reduced the water consumption of the building.
The Best Western Hotel, has undergone a major redevelopment of their hotel rooms and washroom facilities. The 100 room hotel with conference facilities was built in the 1960’s partnered with Franke from the start of their renovation programme. Franke were thrilled to be chosen to provide products from their composite portfolio, including 100 bespoke Miranit Ronda basins.
From standard sized washbasins and washtroughs to a bespoke range, all Miranit products are cast in a single mould without adhesive seams or joints. Along with it’s pleasing appearance and being ambient to touch.
Hotel Arte, Switzerland, has undergone a major redevelopment of their hotel rooms and washroom facilities. Franke were thrilled to be chosen to provide products from their Miranit composite portfolio, including over 100 fully bespoke Miranit wash basins.
Franke Miranit products have many advantages compared to other cast products such as ceramic sanitaryware, including a higher stability in terms of impact resistance and being shatter-proof, with clean shapes, good design and the use of small radii (curved edge).
Franke were thrilled to be chosen to provide products to leading engineering specialsts AV Birch, who engineer timber, hydraulics and several pieces of equipment.
Franke provided two SANX180 stainless steel washtroughs for the washroom refurbishment. Made from 1.2mm thick stainless steel Franke troughs are designed to last for years to come, especially in high usage washrooms such as a large workplace environment. In a satin finish, these stainless steel washtroughs were perfect for the project requirements.

Products from Franke, were chosen for the transformation of the renowned Elstree film studios, Hertfordshire. The solid surface Ronda washbasins were chosen for the two washroom revamps. The unique curved edge of the Ronda basins are designed with the highest quality solid surface materials. The pleasing design fits harmoniously into every washroom while providing generous basin space and the ultimate in style and design.

Products from Franke, were chosen for the transformation of the disused Bute Mill facility for Youthscape. Franke's designer Xinox stainless steel accessories were chosen for the bathrooms. Xinox is a range of high end washroom accessories, designed with the unique InoxPlus treatement for the reduction of dirt and fingerprints, providing the ultimate in style and design features.

Products from Franke, the leading brand name in Washroom systems, were chosen for the modern transformation of offices in Manchester. Franke provided a range of products included 7 of the stunning Quadro Miranit washbasins and 16 franke Aqualine C self-closing pillar taps, which are particularly good for water conservation.

Franke provided two solid surface washtroughs for the refurbishment. Cast in a single mould without any seams or joints Franke's solid surface composite washtroughs have been designed to cope with the harshest conditions found in public and commercial areas such as schools. Miranit is particularly robust and can withstand temperatures up to 80 degrees, the smooth, pore-free and high gloss gelcoat surface also makes it hygienic and easy to clean.

The washrooms in a West London School were in need of refurbishment, and they took the opportunity to completely rethink the use of space. They had a more modern, fresh look in mind for the Key Stage 1 & 2 school washrooms, and the Franke Washino range fitted perfectly with the scheme.
The entire redesign of the school washrooms was conducted with young users in mind so Franke’s Washino wash and play trough (SANW215P) were used instead of traditional wash basins. The Washino range is ergonomically designed to allow children to get closer to the taps, and the playful wave and pleasant warm surface of the Miranit troughs are a temptation for children to wash their hands.

The washrooms within Brookside Primary school, Leicester were in need of refurbishment, and they took the opportunity to choose Franke to provide a washroom solution. The Solx range of Miranit solid surface washtroughs and Aqua taps were chosen to fulfill the requirements of four washrooms throughout the school.
The playful design and the pleasant warm surface of the Miranit solid surface troughs are a temptation for children to wash their hands. The non-porous, high gloss hygienic surface in conjunction with a high resistance to impact and abrasion, emphasis how well these troughs are suitable for everyday use.

Recognised as one of the most ambitious educational projects in Wales, the Cardiff and Vale College's (CAVC) chose Franke Sissons to supply the elegant washroom units, with Miranit washtroughs and mixer taps.
The £45m development, in the heart of the Central Cardiff Enterprise Zone at Dumballs Road, has been carefully designed to attract companies in the financial and professional services sector with interior design and specification of products reflecting its dual use.
Tom Borley, Site Supervisor with CMB Engineering explains “We carefully brought together the specialist skills of Franke and Willis Systems to create a robust and stylish washroom provision. Franke’s Miranit washtroughs are manufactured using a unique granite composite material that is non porous, resistant to heat, scratching and repels bacteria and lime scale build up.”
Winchmore School, a co-educational secondary school has completed a washroom refit specifying Franke’s Uridan waterless Cadet GRP urinal pods. The Uridan system is available exclusively through Franke Sissons in the UK and Ireland and is manufactured from glass reinforced plastic which is far more resilient than ceramic and provides reassuring security against vandalism.
Adrian Bailey, Facilities Manager at Winchmore School explained, “We wanted a waterless solution to reduce water use and maintenance costs. There are other water-free products available for this type of installation but we wanted assurance it would stand the wear and tear of secondary school pupils and be completely odour free.”
Franke Sissons’ Miranit Washtroughs have been chosen by Poplar Primary School in Merton, London as part of the schools recent washroom refit.
In total, the children of the award winning primary school will enjoy seven 2 and 3 person wash and play Washino troughs made of Miranit, Franke Sissons’ own granite composite mineral material. Specified in Alpine White, Miranit is completely smooth and pore free making it very easy to clean and resistant to bacteria, soap scum and lime scale build up. The perfect material for high-traffic environments like schools, the Washino basins are waved shaped which allows greater accessibility thanks to a reduced projection.
Serlby Park Academy is a 3-18 all-through school serving the twin villages of Bircotes and Harworth in North Nottinghamshire. Their ambitious building programme launched in 2015 to expand their specialist classrooms has been completed recently. Four of Franke Sissons Centinel drinking fountains and six of their six person stainless steel circular washtroughs were supplied to the Derbyshire appointed Building Services Contractor, William Bailey Ltd.

One of the UK’s leading furniture manufacturers, JT Ellis, Huddersfield has chosen Franke to work in partnership to supply 12 bespoke kitchens for Sir John Cass Hall, a newly refurbished purpose-built, two-storey student accommodation. The refurbishment included 132 bedrooms with large shared communal areas. The 12 kitchens are shared throughout the building along with single sex showers and WCs.
David Kung, designer for Ellis Furniture explains “Designing and crafting multi-user kitchens to be both stylish and extremely robust is challenging. Using high grade, made to measure stainless steel products from Franke Sissons has proven a compelling solution. Not only will its look and feel actually improve with use and age it’s virtually indestructible also.”
When the Henry Fanshawe School in Dronfield thought about updating their washrooms over the summer break, local company Franke Sissons were the first company to spring to mind. Well known in the area due to its 231 year heritage, Franke Sissons were chosen to supply a mixture of products from their composite and stainless steel sanitary ranges.
Premises Manager, Keith Pattinson explains “We wanted to upgrade our washroom facilities with a robust but stylish washroom provision so we decided on a combination of a stainless steel circular washstation and a Miranit washtrough. The circular washtrough was delivered fully assembled which saved us time during installation and the Miranit composite trough looks fantastic in its surroundings. In the unlikely event of any after fit issues, with Franke we know we will be well cared for”.
Pairc Ui Chaoimh, is a state of the art multi-purpose facility primarily used for Hurling & Gaelic football, as well as concerts and events, chose Franke to provide a range of stainless steel products.
In partnership with John Sisk and Son Ltd, and Cork Builders Providers, Franke Water Systems supplied a range if stainless steel products, including 143 water-free urinals, perfect for high usage washrooms, and have a significant impact on water conservation as well as being cost effective. Franke also supplied over 370 AQUA201 self closing pillar taps, 108 SANX washtroughs, janitorial units and inset sinks.

Franke were thrilled to be chosen to provide products to one of the UK’s leading theme parks and attractions for a recent refurbishment. The refurbishment consisted of a large male toilet room, a large female toilet room and a less abled disabled washroom.
Water conservation was also an important aspect. Franke supplied a number of self closing Pureline taps (PURE0001) which only release water for a controlled amount of time, bringing down the annual water usage of a washroom. Stainless steel table top soap dispensers (SD80) were also supplied, removing the possibility of spillages onto the vanity units and making the area easier to clean.

Ravenhill Stadium in Belfast, has benefitted from several redevelopments in recent years, the most recent being a £16m investment in three new stands. In partnership with Harvey Group and Beggs & Partners of Belfast, Franke Sissons supplied stainless steel urinals and washtroughs for the washrooms in the Aquinas, Memorial and Grand stands.

Transparency, lightness and amber-coloured lighting - these are the properties that characterise the identity of the new football arena with which Danzig continues its famous city history. The arena is the flagship of the successful bid by Poland for the European Football Championship in 2012. Like pieces of amber, the stadium, shopping facilities; and a hotel make up a formation as can be found on a beach. The envelope of the arena is made up of various coloured modules which create a fascinating homogeneous colour sequence. Looking upwards, they grow increasingly transparent and keep the playing field virtually free of shadow. The sports arena was designed by the well-known Düsseldorf architect*s office RKW Rhode | Kellermann | Wawrowsky.

International cricket ground, the Kia Oval at Kennington, in South London has undergone a major redevelopment of its washroom facilities. Franke Sissons were thrilled to be chosen to provide products from their comprehensive stainless steel and composite sanitaryware portfolio. Products such as composite Miranit washtroughs, stainless steel urinals, washbasins and WC’s plus complementing grab rails were all part of the installation.

When Chesterfield Borough Council in North Derbyshire needed a new build washroom and changing facility at Eastwood Park Pavilion in Hasland, the answer for the equipment was on its doorstep. Franke, known for its quality and durability, produces washroom and catering equipment in both high grade stainless steel and its own solid-surface material Miranit and was selected for the washroom equipment as part of the redevelopment of the community park.

The Aviva stadium in Dublin is Irelands first and only EUFA elite stadium, and hosts the regular home fixtures of both the national football and rugby teams as well as other regular tournaments. Franke were thrilled to be chosen for such a prestigious project.
Among the design principles of the 50,000 seater stadium are the bespoke waterless urinals from Franke. As water pipework and a header tank were not required, the savings on this project were huge. Franke can provide a whole range of bespoke waterless urinals to suit the any project requirements.
The B2net stadium is a multifunctional football stadium in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. At its heart it has some of the most modern and sustainable features of any stadium in Britain. It is the home stadium of the English Football league club Chesterfield FC.
Franke Sissons kitted out all areas at the stadium including the public and disabled washrooms, the players dressing rooms and the corporate and VIP areas. Long term water consumption savings in the stadium were a key driver and this has been achieved with self closing taps which mean that water can never be left running and the flush water for the urinals is provided by cisterns that only operate when the facility is being used
The North East’s famous Roosters Piri Piri the chain of healthy fast casual dining restaurants across the UK has been busy with franchise openings. The Company has opened a host of new restaurants following its rebrand last year and has used Franke Washroom Systems for its bespoke kitchen requirements.
Franke Washroom Systems has designed and specified commercial worktops, sinks, taps and shelving for each new restaurant. In each case, the design has ensured durability, maximised available space and contributed to easy cleaning. Franke Washroom Systems, also known as Franke Sissons, design and manufacturer washroom and catering systems using high-quality stainless steel and modern ceramic-based products, at the Company’s British manufacturing plant in Chesterfield.
Franke Sissons supplied a package of water management controls and software to monitor and control the water consumption for thr 38 stainless steel combination sanitation units and associated shower areas.
The A3000 Open Water Management System was a key environmental achievement of the project. Each of the new cells WC's and Washbasins are operated by touch free, vandal resistant infra red controls which are directly linked and managed from a central monitoring facility. This enables constant full control of all the washroom facilities including the supply of water.
The new £75 million Murray Royal Hospital, Perth was officially opened by Scotland’s First Minister Alex Salmond last year. The hospital provides state-of-the-art mental healthcare for adults from across Tayside.
Franke supplied all manner of janitorial and healthcare washroom products to the project.
