Franke were chosen for the washroom sanitaryware for bus service operator Metroline, based in North London. Lan Services were keen to use a trusted supplier and chose Franke stainless steel products to fulfil the project requirements.
During the design and specification stage of the project, great consideration was given to the products as the design chosen would have to be installed in many washrooms of varying sizes and layouts. The client also made clear that due to the large volume of people passing through the facilities each day, the specification called for a highly durable washroom that was also easy to clean and maintain..
Stainless steel was ideal for this project as it is ideal for high use applications. Stainless steel sanitaryware is robust and easy to clean, which helps to keep service and maintenance costs to a minimum. Stainless steel is also highly durable and will look good for years to come as appropriate cleaning will prevent staining, and unlike ceramics, stainless steel will not chip or crack. Lan Services were keen to use supplier and trusted brand Franke for their stainless steel toilet pans, urinal troughs and vanity tops with integral moulded basins.
To improve hygiene and usability, Dart Valley Systems, Paignton (another Franke Group company) was chosen to supply sensor flush kits and their Aquarius sensor touch-free taps. Alongside saving energy and water they negate any physical interaction by the user (such as pulling a lever or pressing a button) thus reducing the spread of bacteria significantly.
Andy Seddon, Commercial Director for Lan Services commented “We have worked with Franke on a number of projects and know that by combining our experience, we will provide a winning solution for our client. They are flexible with our customers’ requirements and provide a great service both pre and post installation.
