Contemporary with an industrial twist, West Midlands

Homeowners Laura and Glynn ripped out their old kitchen and its place wanted a space that was family friendly and ideal for work, play and entertaining. Design-wise, they wanted a contemporary style with an industrial twist that had light, warmth and texture. To achieve this they opted for handleless cabinetry in graphite and copse green by PWS Second Nature, contrasted with white quartz worksurfaces, while wood for the breakfast, bench and tables brought warmth to the space. To soften the look further, the couple accessorised with natural items such as wood, hessian, wicker and leafy plants.

Franke products
The couple selected Franke’s Omni Contemporary 4-in-1 instant boiling water tap in gunmetal. Able to produce 100°C filtered boiling water as well as filtered cold and mains hot and cold, Laura describes it as ‘the most practical purchase in the whole kitchen’.

The gunmetal of the tap contrasted beautifully with the Sirius SID 160 Tectonite sink in polar white which was selected to blend in with the calacatta gold worksurface giving a smart, streamlined look.
