Meet Our People: Clay Hopes, Project Manager Operations

clay-hopes

''In 2012, I began a Graduate program at Franke Kitchen Systems in the field of Project Management - my background being in Mechanical Engineering and Technology Management & Economics. From the very beginning, I immediately felt the high expectations placed on me, but also predicted that I would be able to enjoy a high level of flexibility in my individual assignments.

Since then, I have taken part in several inspiring projects, including: market analysis and strategy, product portfolio reduction, situation analysis for after sales support, and an analysis of increasing the production capacity of a special colored sink plant in the Netherlands. I very recently benefited from a highly demanding and thrilling Franke Water Systems operations project and what I see as the capstone of just about everything I’ve accomplished so far. Here, I was in charge of a technology transfer from the site in Austria to our expanding site near Dubai, which also meant knowledge transfer by learning the process in Austria. It was extremely hands-on, and with all the skills I acquired, the next phase of the hand over in Dubai was an exciting success.

I love the independence and responsibility I am given to make my projects happen. And I like that I get to keep moving. I really look forward to my next international project. Who knows where my career might take me next.''
