Aarburg, August 29, 2019 - In the first half of 2019, the Artemis Group can look back on mixed results of its four business activities Franke Group, Artemis Real Estate Group, Feintool Group and Artemis Asset Management Group. In the period under review, it achieved consolidated net sales of CHF 1,556.1 million – and recorded an increase of CHF 57.1 million or 3.8% over the same period prior year. In organic terms, this corresponds to a decline of 4.0%. Negative currency effects totaled 2.2%. This development was offset by the two acquisitions Chain Link Services (Franke Group) and Stanzwerk Jessen (Feintool Group), which led to a 10.0% increase in sales.
Aarburg, July 18, 2019 - The Swiss Franke Group welcomes Dalla Corte S.R.L., a premium coffee machine manufacturer from Italy, into its family of companies. With this strategic partnership, Franke is expanding its range of professional coffee machines with traditional espresso machines. The two companies will continue to operate on the market independently in the future.
Aarburg, May 21, 2019 – The Artemis Group achieved organic growth once again in the reporting year. The positive long-term economic development in a number of the Artemis Group's key markets slowed down after the summer of 2018, which had a negative impact on business performance. Many impairment losses on goodwill, intangible assets, and property, plant and equipment had to be recognized. In addition, the reporting period included high restructuring and start-up costs for the strategic important synthetic-sink production site of the Franke Group in Slovakia, along with two plant closures.
Aarburg, December 12, 2018 - The Board of Directors of the Franke Group has appointed Barbara Borra as the new Head of the Franke Kitchen Systems division and Christian Mathesius as the new Head of the Franke Foodservice Systems division. They will both join the Franke Group Management Board at the same time.
Aarburg, December 4, 2018 - Franke Foodservice Systems, the global equipment and supplies solutions provider based in Smyrna, Tennessee, announced the acquisition of Chain Link Services, LP of Fort Worth, Texas, a specialty distributor focused on national foodservice and convenience retail chain customers. With this move, Franke deepens its focus on providing highly tailored systems for large customers that are typically comprised of supply chain, logistics and project management services.
Aarburg, October 18, 2018 - On October 17, 2018, the General Meeting of Franke Holding AG elected three new members to the Board of Directors of the Franke Group: Alexander Pieper, Patrick Naef and Dr. Michael Reinhard. The Chairman, Thomas A. Erb, and two other members will resign at the Ordinary General Meeting in spring 2019. Christian Mäder will become the new Chairman, and Alexander Pieper the new Vice Chairman. The changes will lead to a rejuvenation of the Board of Directors, and the appointment of Alexander Pieper will ensure the long-term succession of the owner family.
