Franke launches innovative production model in China with independent suppliers

 
       
 

Franke Asia is adopting a promising new approach in the field of procurement: Its unique cooperation with independent outside manufacturers in Southern China has resulted in the Precit brand name, which stands for precision, innovation, flexibility and the latest technology. Because of the independent relationship, Franke staff can also benefit from Precit products.

    
 

For the new initiative, Franke made intelligent use of the immense industrial opportunities in Southern China, which also allow for extremely attractive pricing. Precit is developing an internal source for inexpensive, high-quality components and finished products, which will benefit all the companies involved in the venture. The overall operation is coordinated by the Franke Supply Management Team in Aarburg, Switzerland.

The entire production of Precit is outsourced to independent suppliers. The best suppliers with the most consistent standards of quality are located in the immediate vicinity of the Franke plant in China. Design, quality control and all financial operations, however, are under the complete control of the Franke Precit team. This balanced division of activity has underpin-ned the success of the entire Group.

The provision and delivery of Precit products is prompt, flexible and goods can be supplied in any quantity
required. The consolidation of deliveries to Franke companies on each continent means that full container deliveries can be made at regular intervals. Regional logistics partner companies divide these containers and guarantee delivery deadlines to individual compa-nies. The approach of maximizing container loadings offsets the expense of splitting the container and reloading, so that only standard freight charges are incurred. Another plus: small orders can also be regu-larly delivered, when required. The entire operation is also coordinated by the Precit team.
