The Business-to-Business solution makes access
to the Franke Food Service Equipment range possible (www.vt.franke.ch).
Registered customers can place orders directly in the "partner" area
by logging in with a password. The shop is also at the disposal of
prospective customers without password or login. They can formulate
an enquiry about our products with the shopping basket function. All
the information about the range of 10 000 products is maintained on
the neutral media "Mediasolution2" data bank developed by "Stämpfli
all media AG", and transferred to the standard e-commerce application
from Intershop (e-link). An interface between the product business
system and the e-commerce application guarantees the direct data exchange
of customer and price information. At the same time "mediaSolution2"
is used as a basis to produce automatically the costly 300 page printed
Food Service Equipment catalogue (p-link). With the joint data base
for both the electronic and the printed publication, expenditure on
data maintenance for the whole product range can be drastically reduced.
