Franke acquired its first acquisition on the African continent in 1999 by acquiring the leading manufacturer and distributor of sinks and sanitary products in South Africa – City Metal Products.

Since this first African acquisition Franke’s commitment to the South African economy was further proven through its investment in local manufacturing plants and its proactive approach to building the skills capacity of the hundreds of local people it employs.

The factory is based in Durban, with sales offices in Midrand, Cape Town and Durban.
