Example: Replacement of top chimes
The customers goal was to standardize the branding of the keg pool. This was achieved by welding a new top chime with the customers marking. As a result the customer received good as new kegs with high quality consistent branding.
Process Flow
- Removing the old top chime
- Production of a new top chime with customer brand embossing
- TIG-welding of the new top chime using the superior Franke welding technology
- Replacement of bottom chime (if required)
- Quality check (Pressure test, valve-Service, external Polish)

Example: New marking
By the acquisition of breweries, the keg pool of the customer offered a mixture of different markings on the top chime. To ensure a uniform brand presence the old marking was knurled making the embossing illegible and the marking of the brewery was printed on the keg body.
Process Flow
- Existing embossing knurled
- Screen printing the new branding on the keg body
- Quality check (body Polish)
